Organized and expanded TISBHacks, one of India’s largest student-led high school charity hackathons, designed to foster innovation in schools. Collaborated with a team of 50+ to manage logistics, oversee finances exceeding $5,000, and handle participant registrations. Invited industry experts to conduct skill-building workshops and led emceeing during event sessions. Managed crisis situations on-site, ensuring smooth operations across three consecutive years, engaging over 600 participants.
Leader: TISB Food Committee & Feedback Portal
Acted as a liaison between the hospitality provider, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and students to enhance food quality and menu variety at TISB. Under the mentorship of Mr. Naveen Tom, Deputy Principal Pastoral, I created a feedback site on the student portal, providing a direct channel for student input. Coordinated with TISB Administrators and the hospitality provider to collaboratively design the 2024 academic year menu, ensuring inclusivity and greater variety to meet diverse dietary preferences.
HOD Logistics, TISB ML-thon 2021 (India's first high school machine learning hackathon)
As Head of Logistics for TISB ML-thon 2021, India’s first high school machine learning hackathon, I oversaw the planning and execution of all logistical aspects. Coordinated venue setup, participant registration, and technology requirements to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees. Worked closely with the organizing committee to manage scheduling, event flow, and speaker arrangements, facilitating a high-quality experience for students eager to explore machine learning.
Event Head - Trojan's Tank, XAVAGE '24 (India's largest High School Business-Economics Festival)
I led the design and execution of this competitive entrepreneurial challenge. Oversaw the development of event guidelines, and coordinated logistics to create an immersive experience that simulated real-world business pitching. Collaborated with a team to mentor participants, ensure smooth pitch rounds, and manage on-the-spot Q&A sessions. The event attracted ambitious young entrepreneurs, inspiring creative solutions and strategic thinking among India’s future business leaders.
Founder, Backend Dev - CS for Social Good Club
I focussed on teaching programming through engaging, real-world projects during our weekly meetings. I led brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and spearheaded the development of the Medi Share platform, “GetYourMed,” during the COVID 19 pandemic, which provided essential support to over 200 individuals. My work involved delving into technologies like Python, Flask, SQL, and Git, allowing our team to create an impactful solution while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Tennis, TISB Trojans Men’s Team
I actively participated in 3 interhouse tournaments, 4 interschool competitions, and 10 local tournaments, honing my skills as a Volunteer Instructor, while fostering a strong team spirit. I thoroughly enjoyed daily practices with the team and dedicated my weekends to teaching middle-school boarders, mentoring them as they acclimatized to boarding life. My involvement not only enhanced their tennis skills but also supported their personal development and integration into the school community.
Co-chair, Investment Club, TISB
The Investment Club is dedicated to fostering financial literacy among over 20 members through the principles of value investing. I spearheaded the creation of a mock trading portal using Django and SQLite, providing members with hands-on experience in trading simulations. Additionally, I led a team of 10+ members to organize an intra-school investment competition that attracted over 100 participants, promoting engagement and understanding of investment strategies. Through workshops and discussions, we empowered members to make informed financial decisions and develop a deeper understanding of the investment landscape.
